RBA assistant governor Guy Debelle spends $2.75 million in Randwick

Reserve Bank of Australia assistant governor, Guy Debelle spent $2.75 million in Randwick at March auction.

Dr Debelle's new home last sold for $305,000 in emerging boomtime 1988, which the Australian Financial Review calculated as an 800% gain, or average 8.5% annual increase for each of the past 27 years. 

He settled on the five bedroom 1890s house last month through McGrath Estate Agents with his wife, Lend Lease's Australian head of property marketing and communications Jocelyn Harvey.

Title Tattle gathers it has four underground sandstone cellars.

The couple upsized from a Bronte semi sold at $2.02 million in May. It cost $1,725,000 in 2010, refecting 3% annual growth.

The previous Chesterfield Parade owners had secured 11% annual growth during their 27 year ownership to 2010.
