Hobart the poorest performing capital city for property profit

Hobart’s weak housing fundamentals sees it having the highest proportion of loss-making re-sales of all capital cities (12.3%) over the March 2015 quarter.

However the CoreLogic RP Data pain gain report noted the proportion was falling, to be lower than the previous quarter (14.6%) and also the previous year (14.3%).

Sorrell (17.5%), Derwent Valley (15.8%) and Brighton (15.0%) council areas had the highest proportion of loss-making resales over the March quarter.

The proportion of loss-making resales was lowest in Hobart (10.4%), Glenorchy (10.9%) and Kingborough (12.1%) council areas.
