14,335 capital city private treaty sales in past four weeks: CoreLogic RP Data

There were 9,362 private treaty house sales and 4,973 private treaty unit sales across the capital cities in the past four weeks, according to CoreLogic RP Data.

Private treaty sales generally represent around 85% of all dwelling sales across the country. However, in the most recent period they may have made up a greater proportion sales, given that most avoided auctioning their homes on Anzac day. There were around 150 auctions actually scheduled across Australia on Anzac Day, with many sold before auction.

Only 550 auctions occurred this week, according to CoreLogic RP Data's preliminary figures.
