Genuine stables? Neigh! Armadale cottage with faux stables for sale

The owners and renovators of an Armadale Edwardian home have decided to run with the pack and add "stables" to the back of their property.

While genuine stables are not uncommon at the back of homes in Melbourne's Armadale, the structure at the back of 62 Union Street was actually built this year.

They hold a double garage, a workshop and a studio or guest accommodation.

The main circa 1905 single level Edwardian house was renovated this year. Bi-fold doors open directly onto the back garden and the so-called stables.

Madeline Kennedy of Marshall White has not provided a price guide for the four bedroom home. Vendors paid $1.46 million for the unrenovated property in October 2013.

62 Union Street will be auctioned on the evening of Thursday, 20 November.
