South Yarra’s 126 Walsh Street is Neometro’s latest development.

Carr Design Group and MA Architects collaborated on the design that will see four luxury residences, each across a single level with outdoor living spaces.

In total, there are three 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartments, and a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the top floor. The average size is 300 square metres.

Three of the four are already sold, prior to completion, with one remaining.

The construction was completed this month, with Neometro design director Jeff Provan noting that they’re marketing it towards downsizers.

“This project was about creating four homes rather than apartments. We have delivered on that, providing generous hallways, expansive living areas along with a choice of outdoor areas in each residence that offer garden aspects or city views,” said Provan.

The apartments include front verandahs with shutters, and green awning around the ground level apartment’s outdoor space.

Residents are taken to their apartments through a secure lift, and a number have fireplaces, wine storage and a scullery.

Some include home offices, powder rooms and walk in wardrobes.

“These residences aim to raise the benchmark for apartment living and show people that downsizing or choosing an apartment over a traditional house doesn’t have to mean compromised living,” Provan said.

Property Observer understands that the final apartment is seeking buyers in the mid-$5 million bracket.
