Woodridge price recovery: Brisbane's cheapest auction sale

Brisbane’s most affordable property to sell at auction last weekend was a two-bedroom townhouse in Woodridge in southeast Queensland.

According to Australian Property Monitors, the two-level 1990-built property at 12/147 Kingston Road sold for $178,000 though Harcourts M1.

The townhouse is now available for rent at $300 a week.

It last traded at $146,900 in 2007.

The new buyers will see a yield of 8.6% if the asking rent is met.

RP Data figures show that the median price for a house in Woodridge is $262,000, while the median price for units is $205,000.

In a separate deal earlier this year another townhouse in the block sold for $198,000 – the top price in the complex - and was subsequently rented for $280 a week reflecting a yield of 7.3%

According to RP Data, the median rental for Woodridge is $260 per week.
