Five-bedroom Balwyn North home weekend's most expensive sale: RP Data

A five-bedroom home in Balwyn North is this week’s most expensive sale, selling under the hammer at its August 3 auction for $2.8 million, according to RP Data.

Located at 34 Aquila Street, the recently built home features timber parquetry floors, raised ceilings, a home theatre and a Miele kitchen.

Situated on 774 square metres, the property also includes alfresco dining with an outdoor kitchen and a pool.

A crowd of around 100 people attended the weekend auction, with two bidders going head to head, according to James Buyers Advocates.

The property was listed through Laurence Murphy and Maurice DiMarzio of Hocking Stuart Balwyn.

The median house price in Balwyn North is $1 million, a 7.1% change in the past five years, according to RP Data.
