Melbourne auction tipping: Half an acre in exclusive Eaglemont

An Eaglemont home on more than 2,000 square metres could test the top end of the Melbourne property market when it goes to auction this weekend.

For those who want to have a harmless punt, there's now a tipping website, www.propertytycoon.com.au, where punters can guess auction five results in Melbourne and Sydney, with no outlay. It's mostly about testing your market knowledge with a small cash prize as a sweetener.

One of the properties going to auction this weekend in round 11 of the competition is 48 Carlsberg Road, Eaglemont. Liz Walker from Jellis Craig has suggested the buyers will need well over $3 million to secure this unique property.

The luxury home was purchased by the current owners almost 20 years ago, when they paid $430,000, and they have since added significant value to the property.

The property is the perfect entertainer with the option of a glass of wine on the patio, a dip in the pool or a hit of tennis. Best of all after the festivities have ended no one needs to drive home, as the property has five bedrooms and room for six cars.

If you think you know what it will sell for place a tip at Property Tycoon.
