About 60% of apartments in The Emerald development in Albert Park have been sold about a month after the development launched, with marketing soon to start in Asia. The project is being marketed by Colliers International.

The 20-storey project features one-bedroom apartments from $345,000 and two-bedrooms from $567,000, under the Victorian' government's $600,000 threshold for the $13,000 first-home bonus.

The upscale apartment project being developed by the Golden Age Group is situated between the CBD, Southbank arts area and the city’s “garden precinct” of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake.

It features 282 apartments across 19 levels in a commanding wave-like building designed by The Buchan Group Architects

The Emerald will look south-west across Albert Park Lake to Port Phillip Bay, north to the city and east to the Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance.

Three levels of the new building will have “podium” apartments; two levels of apartments will have private terraces; and another two levels will also comprise penthouse-style apartments.

Designers at Hecker Guthrie have selected natural palettes, organic materials and timeless craftsmanship for the fixtures, finishes and public spaces.

Purchasers have a choice of colour schemes and with 47 different floor plans across various levels, with emphasis on maximising living spaces, creating highly functional kitchen and laundry areas and making use of generous outdoor balconies.

“We’re very excited to be bringing a luxury development to this prestigious location and have already seen a lot of early interest from those seeking an inner-city lifestyle with easy access to Melbourne’s best parks and gardens,” says Golden Age Group’s Jeff Xu.
