There's now a tipping website, www.propertytycoon.com.au, where punters can guess auction five results in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with no outlay. It's mostly about testing your market knowledge with a small cash prize as a sweetener.
One of the five Melbourne properties going to auction this week in round four is 32 Bastings Street, Northcote, which is being auctioned by Jellis Craig.
"In Melbourne 32 Bastings St Northcote will be put to the competition with a sale of around $1.5 million expected," says Mark Armstrong of Property Tycoon.
"This is a very unique property sitting high an Ruckers Hill and on over 700 square metres of land.
"The four-bedroom home was purchased by its current owner in 1996 for $996,000 and has under gone a cosmetic make over in the last few years."
Armstrong says the property should attract considerable competition at its weekend auction.
