A home in Frenchville in Queensland's Rockhampton region has been sold by the mortgagee in possession for $235,000, reflecting a $115,000 loss.

The three bedroom, one bathroom house on 605 sqm last sold for $350,000 in 2011.

The home at 238 Flowers Avenue sold after 555 days on the market.

Originally listed in December 2017 the property had an asking price of $339,000 through Dan Ware of Mr Real Estate.

Throughout the life of the listing, the asking price was reduced six times to $250,000.

There was also an unsuccessful auction in April 2019.

The property even went back on its 2007 sale when it sold for $290,000.

Built in 1975, it is a two story property with a two car garage.

The median price for a home in Frenchville is $320,000 according to CoreLogic, which calculate its annual change in median price over the past 10 years as -0.1%.
