The Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley is set to be host to the highest volume of auctions this weekend.

It has 11 properties set to go under the hammer, according to CoreLogic.

Next busiest is Mount Waverley in Victoria which has nine properties going to auction, same as RESERVOIR, also in Victoria.

Auction activity will remain relatively steady over the week across the combined capital cities, with 836 homes scheduled for auction this week, down only slightly from the week prior when 847 capital city homes were auctioned.

Melbourne is expected to see an increase in activity this week while Sydney is seeing a decrease.

There are 387 homes scheduled for auction across Melbourne, while Sydney is set to host 283 auctions, a small difference from the 348 and 318 auctions held last week respectively.

The smaller auction markets will also see a lower volume of homes auctioned week on week with the exception of Perth where auction volumes are unchanged, and Tasmania which is set for a slight increase.

Total auction volumes are also down on a year ago as this time last year a higher 1,257 homes went under the hammer across the combined capital cities over the same week.
