A Ray White Townsville auction event secured a 100% clearance rate this week.

Ray White Townsville agent Julie Mahoney sold five out of five of the properties that were set to go under the hammer.

Four of the five sold at auction, with another selling prior.

Mahoney said all the homes offered were inner-city and were either fully renovated or on larger blocks, with four surpassing their reserve prices.

“It’s not every night you have a 100 per cent clearance rate and we achieved nearly $1.4M combined for our vendors, so it was a great evening,” Mahoney said.

The priciest sale was the one secured pre-auction which saw a Rowes Bay home at 10 Palm Street (above) sell for $925,000.

The cheapest sale was a two bedroom Dillane home (below) that sold for $222,500.

The other three sales were a $597,000 sale at 8 Murray Street, Townsville City, a $335,000 sale at 17 Mary Street, West End and a $235,000 sales at 10A Cowley Street, also in West End.

“Townsville is fast approaching a ‘normal’ market and the announcement of massive projects and the Adani approval has signaled confidence and the promise numerous job opportunities," Mahoney said.

“The election has definitely resulted in renewed confidence in property as an investment option for the future.

“I believe the community voted strongly for employment, small businesses and for our farming community.

“The venue at the Ville is an upmarket destination overlooking our beautiful magnetic Island with a choice of bars and restaurants and it’s a testament to my whole team that the night was such a success.
