Mirvac's 46-townhouse development Laureate in Albert Park, set in gardens designed by Eckersley Garden Architecture, has won the HIA's 2012 townhouse/villa development of the year.

The $90 million project was completed in early 2011 on its 8,144-square-metre site opposite the GasworksArtsPark

They were marketed as a modern twist on the Victorian terrace.

Set among textured and patterned plants, vines and trees, the site is bordered by Pickles, Graham, Foot and Dank Streets.

Spanning three and four levels, the townhouses ranged in size from 164 square metres internal space to 320 square metres plus.

Some 85% of the townhouses were sold off the plan.

Mirvac is currently advertising its last townhouse priced at $1,799,000.

There are other on sale listings including one at $1,899,000 for a four-bedroom townhouse through RT Edgar.
