Darling Quarter project claims PCA development of the year title
Lend Lease’s Darling Quarter and Commonwealth Bank Place development in Sydney took out four awards on its way to claiming the top gong at the 2013 Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards.
Commonwealth Bank Place, in the $500 million Darling Quarter precinct, is the largest commercial office development in Sydney’s CBD.
It's a 1.5-hectare development featuring a family playground, retail terrace, children’s theatre and community green.
PCA chief executive Peter Verwer praised Commonwealth Bank Place as an outstanding showcase for social, environmental and economic sustainability.
"Lend Lease has transformed an under-used part of the CBD into a dynamic destination for the community to enjoy, while also providing a world-leading office environment for 6,500 CBA employees," he said.
