These days what attracts buyers and renters to a property can largely be to do with storage.

In smaller units and townhouses, property owners need to work even harder to squeeze every dollar's-worth out of their space.

Last week, observer Cameron McEvoy wrote on eight design trends catching the eye of urban renters, and innovative storage space was a key component.
