Pascoe Vale South is a suburb of north-western Melbourne, Australia. Situated 11 km from the Melbourne CBD, it is bordered by Essendon to the north, Flemington to the east, Moonee Ponds to the south and Ascot Vale to the west. It has a population of 9,859 people (2011 census).
Pascoe Vale South was once part of an estate owned by John Pascoe Fawkner (after whom both Pascoe Vale and Pascoe Vale South are named). In 1881, Fawkner subdivided his land into small allotments and sold them off. The area slowly grew in popularity and in 1889 a Post Office was opened.
Today, Pascoe Vale South is home to a diverse range of people - including young families, retirees and students - who enjoy its quiet residential streets and convenient access to all that Melbourne to offer.
