Mordialloc is a bayside suburb of Melbourne, located in the state of Victoria, Australia. The suburb is situated on the eastern side of Port Phillip Bay and is approximate 23km km south-east from Melbourne's Central Business District. Mordialloc is part of the City of Kingston local government area.
Mordialloc has a population of 16,708 people as at the 2016 Census. Mordialloc was once predominantly a farming community but with Melbourne's suburban sprawl it has become a popular residential suburb for families. Mordialloc contains many parks, reserves and bike paths along its foreshore which stretches from Chelsea to Williamstown.
The main shopping strip in Mordialloc is Main Street which features many small businesses including cafes, restaurants, takeaways and specialty stores. There are also two supermarkets (IGA & Woolworths) and a pharmacy.
Mordialloc railway station provides regular passenger services on the Frankston line operated by Metro Trains Melbourne.
