Milton is an inner suburb of Brisbane, located 4 kilometres south-west of the CBD. Originally inhabited by the Jagera people, Milton was first settled by Europeans in the 1850s. It was named after John Milton, a poet and writer from England.
Milton has a population of around 9,000 people and is home to a diverse range of cultures and religions. The suburb has several parks and playgrounds, as well as a number of schools and churches. There are also several cafes and restaurants in Milton, as well as a large shopping centre.
