Glebe is an inner suburb of Sydney located on the southern shore of Rozelle Bay. It is situated 3 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney. Glebe Point Road is its main street.
Glebe has a mix of residential, commercial and light industrial areas. The suburb has a history dating back to 1858 when it was granted to William Gore Evans, one of the original settlers in the area.
In more recent years, Glebe has become known for its bohemian lifestyle and its large number of artists, students and professionals.
