Essendon North is a suburb in north-western Melbourne. It is located approximately 9 kilometers from the CBD, and is situated between the suburbs of Essendon and Moonee Ponds. Essendon North has a population of approximately 4,500 people, and is home to a mix of families, young professionals and retirees.
The suburb was first settled in the mid-19th century, and retains much of its original character today. Essendon North also boasts some excellent nearby recreational facilities, including the Aberfeldie Park tennis courts, cricket nets and playgrounds.
