Developer Growland's latest residential offering, Neue Grand, is setting its sights on the sky but not in the way that you would expect.
According to Growland, the 20-storey building, to be built on St Kilda Road, aims to provide Melbourne's elite buyers with 'cutting-edge technology', allowing them to fulfill their dreams of living like James Bond.
The development will feature what Growland claims to be an Australian first in the form of ‘sky garages’, where residents will be able to display their luxury vehicles via a large scale glazed cabinet of sorts that is located adjacent to the main living area.
The Rothelowman-designed building and will feature just 19 apartments, each of which will occupy an entire 350sqm floor and carrying an average price tag of $6 million.
Residents will be able to drive their vehicle into the German engineered automated parking system from the ground floor, where license plate recognition allows for secure entry into the building.
Once the resident vacates the vehicle, the high-speed lift will automatically transport it and park it in the double-space display port within the apartment.
A basement parking space will also be provided offering a place for residents’ ‘everyday’ car.
To access their apartment, residents will be required to scan a pass to their own lift, where one of two sides will be assigned to them.
If there more than one resident requires a lift, the other side will be assigned to them, and delivering them to their own apartment without revealing the dwelling’s floor number, ensuring their privacy is maintained.
Upon arriving at their respective apartment, residents will access their apartments via fingerprint recognition software, while internally, blinds and lights will be controlled through high-tech home automation.
Rothelowman will also work closely with buyers to ensure each apartment is carefully considered and tailored to suit their individual needs.
The penthouse apartment will enjoy exclusive access to a private rooftop and garden which will provide all encompassing city and bay views.
There is also the opportunity to combine the top two floors for a double-story residence linked by an internal staircase.
These homes will appeal to purchasers wanting premium quality and exclusivity. The ability to showcase premium cars is a rare opportunity in Australia.
