Queensland-based, Greyburn has started construction on their Robina Grand Residences.&nbsp;

The building company with over 35 years’ experience achieved strong sales in the early stages of planning, with the development notching over the 90 per cent sold mark, accruing $45 million in sales to date.&nbsp;

Sitting just a stone’s throw from one of the Gold Coast’s premier shopping outlets, Robina Town Centre, Robina Grand Residences will comprise 69 apartments and four townhouses across its eight levels, offering a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments, along with the four-bedder townhouses.&nbsp;

Strong sales for the project have been attributed to the project’s cornering of the middle market, offering buyers luxurious living spaces for affordable prices.

Approaching a near sell out, Greyburn’s Co-Director, Aaron Hook, said the company was well positioned to deliver Robina Grand Residences, having delivered a variety of projects in the past, with construction costs of between $2 million and $30 million.

“Given that demand on the southern Gold Coast is higher than ever, we are excited to be commencing construction to bring this collection of ultra-desirable homes to life,” he said.

“Greyburn are well placed to navigate any issues facing the industry that may arise during our construction period, after we recently stepped in to complete construction on Minnippi Quarter following the collapse of Condev,” Hook added.&nbsp;

Taking its place at 1 Waterfront Place, Robina Grand Residences are also set to feature a suite of resort-style facilities, including a swimming pool and outdoor area with dining space and seating, set amongst sculptured landscaped gardens, with views to the Gold Coast skyline, hinterlands and iconic coastline.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The development will also include a fully-equipped gym and exercise health centre, featuring a pilates and yoga room, along with separate lounge areas, and retreat and games rooms.&nbsp;

Having built up an extensive portfolio in south-east Queensland, Robina Grand Residences joins a long list of successful residential projects under Greyburns belt, including the luxury apartments ORO in Biggera Waters, and Palladium in Hope Island.&nbsp;

Completion for Robina Grand residences is scheduled for late September 2023.

Robina Grand apartments achieve $50 million in sales as construction commences

Gold Coast builder and developer John Kearney, head of the well known local building firm Greyburn, has secured development approval for a seven-storey apartment project in the heart of Coolangatta.

Positioned within the highly sought after and quiet residential Kirra Hill pocket,&nbsp;the project will deliver beachside apartments, within walking distance of some of Coolangatta&rsquo;s most iconic beaches and best amenity on the Gold Coast.

Kearney, who has over 35 years of experience developing in the South-East Queensland region, said they were excited to deliver the project, which will come to a market that is in high demand. &nbsp;

&ldquo;Our team lives and breathes the Gold Coast so we want to position our projects in areas that inspire a great lifestyle,&rdquo; Kearney said.

Located on a prime corner site at 30 Garrick Street, just 350 metres from Coolangatta Beach, the project will deliver 40 two-bedroom apartments with an average size of 105 sqm.

All apartments will feature two bathrooms, in a range of floorplans, with smaller affordable options, to larger more spacious layouts with additional study areas.

High ceilings will provide natural light throughout, while considered interior designs encourage cross-ventilation.

&ldquo;30 Garrick Street is designed to suit a wide-range of buyers seeking a high-quality, well- designed apartment that offers a relaxed beachside, walk-to-wherever lifestyle,&rdquo; Kearney said.

&ldquo;Our design considers a wide sector of the market from downsizers wishing to stay within proximity to their existing detached dwellings to young couples seeking proximity to the beach and employment.

&ldquo;The position enables residents to park their car in the secure basement and walk to everything their lifestyle requires whether it be basking on the beach or walking the ocean way path until they need to stop and enjoy world class coffee and food. Not to forget the daily ritual of immersing in the Pacific Ocean.&rdquo;

Crowning the project will be a rooftop pool and barbecue area, complete with outdoor dining space and relaxation zones, encased in lush tropical greenery.

The ground floor will cater for modern apartment living with a surf shower, a secure parcel room, a function room, as well as work-from-home space.

Kearney&rsquo;s Greyburn has been able to navigate the challenges of the building industry of late, recently stepping up to complete construction of Fraser Property Group&rsquo;s $121 million master-planned community, Minnippi Quarter in Brisbane, following the collapse of Condev Constructions.

Greyburn portfolio includes a spat of successful residential and commercial projects in SEQ, including Palladium, comprising 39 double-storey townhouses at Hope Island, along with the ORO Apartments, which delivered a boutique collection of luxury apartments at Biggera Waters.

Kearney plans to officially launch 30 Garrick Street to the market in the coming months.

Greyburn gains approval for apartment development in the heart of Coolangatta 

Coolangatta&#39;s busy beachfront&nbsp;is set for another apartment development.&nbsp;

It&#39;s a second Coolangatta project filed by John Kearney, Managing Director at the construction firm Greyburn and a director at Alvey. He&#39;s&nbsp;submitted plans for an eight-level development&nbsp;at 30 Garrick Street, on the corner of Garrick and the dress circle Musgrave Street.

There will be just 40 apartments, all two-bedders,&nbsp;with five different configurations on offer. One of the two-bed configurations also has a study.&nbsp;

BDA Architecture, who handled the design, noted in their submission to the Gold Coast City Council that the&nbsp;40 units will service a wide sector of the market from downsizers wishing to stay within proximity to their existing detached dwellings to young couples seeking proximity to the beach and employment.

Internal areas of the apartments will range from 82 sqm to 100 sqm, with the total area&#39;s including balconies ranging from 91 sqm to 113 sqm.

BDA said the&nbsp;proposed architecture is a contemporary coastal and local vernacular.

&quot;It will offer a layered façade of brick, screening, projections and landscaping that will knit locality together.&quot;

There will be just five apartments per floor.

&quot;An exceptionally located site that provides a unique setting for a medium density residential complex to be set within close proximity to the significant amenity of the Coolangatta centre and the recreational amenity afforded to the Coolangatta beaches,&quot; BDA continued.

BDA said the proposal &quot;knits Garrick and Musgrave Street.&quot;

&quot;The proposal will assist in negotiating a sensitive transition from the centre zone uses and scale of Musgrave Street to the residential spaces of Garrick Street.&quot;

&quot;The concept is to provide a variety of two-bedroom dwellings that mix between smaller affordable floor plans and larger spacious lifestyle layouts.&quot;

In December Greyburn lodged their first Coolangatta project&nbsp;at 39-41 McLean Street, which again will provide&nbsp;more affordable stock than what&#39;s currently on offer in the area.

Kir​ra Beach has emerged as one of the hottest spots on the Gold Coast in the last 12 months.

There&#39;s been a number of boutique apartment projects, targeting the high-end owner-occupier market, with little in the way of more affordable stock.

The new tower at 39-41 McLean Street, which will see more affordable stock than what&#39;s currently on offer, will rise 19 levels and home 63 apartments, made up of 28 two-beds, starting from 85 sqm of internal space, and 35 three-bedroom apartments which start from 110 sqm.

&quot;The tower is inspired by the natural landforms of the Coolangatta headlands, the fluid movements of the beach, with the base informed by the existing form and scale of the McLean Street buildings but clothed with landscape of the Kirra headland.

&quot;A palette of natural whites and darker tones combined with face brick complement and enhance the existing Coolangatta built form character. The proposed bold building form and layered facade results in a timeless expression.

&quot;The public realm interface to the street is key to creating an enhanced pedestrian experience and bookend to the McLean Street frontage.&quot;

The development was submitted by a company linked to John Kearney, who is a director at the Southport-based building firm Greyburn. Currently on the site is the disused surf shop, Sunhouse.

Kirra Beach has been one of the hottest markets on the Gold Coast since December last year when Miles Residences, the development by KTQ, was launched. The $450 project, part of the redevelopment of the iconic Kirra Beach Hotel, snappily sold out stage one, with future stages to be released early next year.

The quick sell-out of Joe Adsett&#39;s Rockpool by Rainbow Bay quickly followed, without any need for marketing. Marquee Developments Partners also didn&#39;t need any marketing to sell out their SOL Kirra Beach recently.&nbsp;

Hirsch &amp; Faigen&#39;s luxury Emerson development on Musgrave Street has been in high demand, with the luxury, mostly whole-floor, development now over 60 per cent sold.

Cr​u Collective also has a luxury project around the corner, with SUR Kirra Beach apartments selling for over $4 million each.

There are a few opportunities in the pipeline though for more affor​dable apartments in the area.

Just a few doors down from the new tower will be&nbsp;<a href="https://www.urban.com.au/news/qld/beckdev-set-for-palais-coolangatta-apartment-development">Melbourne developer BeckDev&#39;s Palais Coolangatta</a>, a redevelopment of the&nbsp;old Jazzland Dance Palais that has stood on a 2,355 sqm McLean Street site since the 1930s.

That will see175 one, two and three-bedroom apartments built, as well as resident facilities and a street-level plaza with retail space.

Also in the area on Eden Avenue will be the development&nbsp;by joint venture partners&nbsp;Steer Developments, Kingbella, and Capdev, who are <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/news/qld/beachside-luxe-living-set-for-rainbow-bay-as-new-apartment-tower-proposed">seeking to build 94 apartments as well as a handful of two-storey beach houses</a>.
