Renowned Sunshine Coast developer Cube Developments is down to its last remaining penthouse at its under-construction Bokarina Beach apartment development, Oasis.

The two-level penthouse, priced at $5.6 million, spans 242 sqm internally and more than doubles in size given the generous amount of terracing and a private rooftop which takes the total space to well over 500 sqm.

Cube Developments' interior designer Sarah Busch spoke of the subtle yet elegant design choices within the penthouse, featuring soft and neutral tones that complement the expansive views.

The penthouse extends onto a private landscaped rooftop terrace complete with a pool, custom joinery with BBQ, kitchen garden and zoned entertainment seating spaces. 
 
The penthouse includes a large glass surround fireplace, with meticulously considered joinery designed to appear closer to an art piece addition. The kitchen features an integrated fridge, Smeg appliances, and a full suite of laundry appliances tucked away in a dedicated laundry space.

An elevated and private home office ensures future residents will be able to work from home with ease.

Buyers of the penthouse also have the option to add a window covering package, adding to the convenience and comfort of their new home.

At the time of the purchase of the Kombi Street site, Cube Director Scott Juniper said the 3,215 sqm block, located between Caloundra and Mooloolaba and adjacent to <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-townhouses/the-terraces-at-bokarina-beach-lake-kawana-boulevard--birtinya-boulevard-birtinya">Bokarina Beach</a>, was earmarked for a six-level apartment building of up to 75 apartments.

But Juniper wanted to go the other way, planning something more boutique which would offer a point of difference to the other developments in the masterplan.

“Four of the six sites nearby are under construction and are quite large scale, large built form projects, some with over 100 units,” Juniper said, adding that those developments will have ground floor activation.

“We’re looking to go boutique, with larger format units, and really build to the strength of what Bokarina Beach has become,” Juniper said.

The other five two-level penthouses have been snapped up, with buyers ranging from locals to those from Brisbane, Sydney and even Singapore.

Oasis is over 90 per cent sold and is expected to complete in late 2024.

The luxury penthouses sit toward the top of Cube’s new 56 luxury apartment project Oasis, located on one of the last remaining beachfront blocks on Bokarina Beach.

Landing on one of the Sunshine Coast&rsquo;s last undeveloped ocean frontages, Cube Development&rsquo;s latest project, Oasis, has been designed in a nod to the surrounding coastal environment.

An extensive collaborative design process by local Queensland architect Cameron Sheedy and the developer resulted in a subtropical, resort-style apartment development, with a dual design between the entry-level space and the sculptural towers.

Set across six levels with 56 apartments, Oasis&rsquo; configuration maximises access to almost 180 degree ocean views stretching north from Point Cartwright all the way down to the Caloundra Headland.

Raw materials create a strong connection to place, with white hues, smooth-face blockwork, sand and textured concrete combining with tubular screening, breeze blocks and subtle curvature to achieve the set out, timeless coastal aesthetic.

Functioning as a distinct portal into the residence, a L-shaped enclosure integrates to become the building&rsquo;s grounded podium, decked out with a Wellness Area, with a gym, pool, sun loungers, gardens and alfresco dining space.

Rising from this are the defined yet sculptural residential towers, topped with six expansive penthouses.

Having worked extensively with the developer and council to achieve a district ground floor vision, architect Cameron Sheedy said that the space deeply roots the project to its environment while channelling a visceral change in setting as guests step through Oasis&rsquo; threshold.

&ldquo;The podium is solid, constrained, and timeless. It works to create a quiet compound that is separate from the vibrant, bustling community beyond Oasis&rsquo; walls, something residents want to tap into but can disconnect from in their private sanctuary,&rdquo; Sheedy said.

&ldquo;Large overhangs, glass awnings, natural ventilation, extensive dappled natural light screening and the creation of a considered microclimate work in unison to mitigate and enhance the often-extreme climatic conditions of the coastline and alter temperature, light and sound within the podium to signal the shift in place.&rdquo;

&ldquo;All of this contributes to an inherent feeling of an exclusive and palpably serene space, different to anywhere else and unwavering upon each return.&rdquo;

As for Oasis&rsquo; internal look and feel, Cube Development&rsquo;s Interior Designer, Sarah Busch said that the apartments are sympathetic to the external facade, with complementary materials that seamlessly transition between the two.

&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve tried to blur the lines between inside and out through shared materiality, heightening the impact of the large voids, soaring ceilings and multilevel balconies that Cameron has programmed into the apartment designs.&rdquo;

&ldquo;Tying into the coastal hues of the external facade, we have used soft light tones and the bright whites internally, giving way for the stunning views that intrinsically connect the residents to their natural surroundings.

&ldquo;There is a refined artfulness that guides the apartments with strong monolithic elements, such as the kitchen benches. We have selected large format materials so that there are minimal joins or linework and a select few finishes that are purposeful. Everything is smooth and elongated to create a bold yet timeless feel as you walk into the space.&rdquo;

The leading Sunshine Coast developer, Cube Developments, has achieved a near sell-out success across two of its high-end projects totalling $128 million, as monumental demand for elevated beachfront living continues to sweep through the Sunshine Coast.

Oasis,&nbsp;Cube&#39;s most recent project, saw 70 per cent of residences sold prior to officially hitting the market within a week of its soft launch, totalling close to $50 million.

Oasis is made up of 56 apartments including a lap pool, open air resident&nbsp;dining, gym, outdoor beach shower and lush gardens.

There are six two-level penthouses, each with at least three-bedrooms plus a multipurpose room. The biggest penthouse has four bedrooms. They range from 160 sqm to 242 sqm, and feature their own rooftop terraces with a private lap pool.

They had local architect Cameron Sheedy put together the plans for the 56 apartments.
